im looking at an 1998 2.8 A6 Q

it has 104k what problems or questions should i ask prior to purchasing the car?
or any issues i should look out for.

 

timing belt (+ tensioners, rollers, thermostat), control arms, tie rods, shocks, oil leaks are all common fixes needed at or before your mileage.

vac lines, fuel filter, coolant temp sensor, plug wires, plugs, should probably all be changes out soon too.

That's pretty good mileage! I just bought a 98 with 120K on it and I really like it. A big deciding factor was that it had the timing belt job done 20K ago.
