mmm few question, suggestion needed
well I bought A6 I was lookin for last week, and now my euro bug start kick back in.
well it's 1999 A6 2.8 quattro, I'll keep engine stock for now since I see that there is not much available for tuning. and for me this is pretty much fine on power and speed.
question 1.
for suspension, I want to get bit lower stance than OEM.
what would be the good setup you guys recommend?
question 2.
it would be related to question 1, for the rims and tire, I would like to go larger on rims,
18" would be good or should I go 19"? since I'm thinking about lower stance, I'm thinkin to go with 18".
plus NY roads are terrible, if I go 18 I can go thicker sidewall.
question 3. exterior
thinking about getting some body kit, is there many available for this model?
seen few so far, I wanted to see what else available.

RE: mmm few question, suggestion needed
If you drive on bad roads, don't go larger than 18". Larger rims/tires look sharp but are really vulnerable to bends and tire damage. Plus the additional sidewall will help the ride. You should also consider the tire insurance the tire place may sell. Discount Tire charged me about $15 tire so the tire will be replaced if damaged regardless of cause. Since I've torn a 17" Pirelli in a pot hole in Detroit and had two 18" Coopers get holes for mysterious reasons, I definitely spend the extra for the new 18" Conti's that I just had installed.

yeah that's one of my concern. I have 96 tahoe with 20's with 245/35/20 with air suspension, my show truck and I did hit the pothole broke rim and lost tire like last month. thanks god my rims are cheap to replace...
tire sidewall I'm lookin at least 40 but more like goin 45 but is the 18 would fit with 45 with new suspension (shocks and coil) with drop you think?
