For a climate control issue such as you are having, you would need the DVD manual and VAG-COM. For VAG-COM go to www.ross-tech.com or find somebody near you that has VAG-COM. An OBDII code reader will not work for the special climate control error codes, only for the standard emmission codes. Without the DVD manual you won't know how to fix your climate control or use VAG-COM.

Can you not pull the Climate Control codes from the CC itself? Any one have a link to his climate control codes? I mean, they still do that, correct?

Whats your car again, postal?

Also, I looked under the hood and can't seem to locate the flaps / actuator area. The whole fresh air area is a black mesh grille w/ the battery located in the midle. I see a/c lines to the left of the battery and can't make out what's to the right (driver's side), but don't see anything that resembles actuators, etc.

I may end up replacing the a/c panel anyway b/c some of the buttons are so badly worn that it is a sore spot in an otherwise flawless car.

You have only had the car a couple days and your already as bad as everyone else on here. Get yourself a Vag-Com from ross-tech $200 or Pm midniteoyl he knows a way for $23 bucks. Audi repair DVD from www.blauparts.com is $100 or from www.bentleypublishers.com. You will neeeeed this stuff to diagnose any problems and it will give everyone more info to help you.

If the actuator is bad for that gate I'll bet the light wouldn't illuminate. I'll look at mine tomorrow and see if I can find it.
