power steering leak!!

Default power steering leak!!

hello does anyone know the name of the 2 hoses that come from the power steering pump resorvoir i have a leak in my power steering.... when i called the dealer the said one of the hoses was $98.00 is that true or could i get the same part online for cheaper? all help appreciated thanks

I doubt you can get those hoses from anywhere else than the dealer. You can try www.shokan.com for some used hoses.

are they a pretty reliable parts place audi tech? do u know the name of the 2 hoses?

Yeah its a great place for used parts. I don't know the names of the hoses, but they are the only two that come off the resivior so it shouldn't be too hard for them to find.

You should also make sure it is really leaking -
I thought I had a leak, turns out I was a bit low on fluid, it was
sucking some air, foaming up then overflowing.

Germanpartsonline.com has both the suction hose and the return hose for the A6 for cheaper than the dealership is asking.

Clean and dry off the hoses well and check48hrs laterto be certain the leak is only from the hose and not the pump or the steering rack....an expensive part.

I'm sure if you have a leak there, it's only one of the two. How did you determine you have a leak?
