Had the opposite, and only the front did that and so i replaced the window clips and they both work like a charm now. Audi improved the design of the clips a few years back but neglected to do a recall for fix the problem. SO i think your front clips are broken as well (not sure about the rears) and its and easy but time consuming fix and you do not have to replace the complete window regulator unit.

Default Clips ???

Madtec,

I have a problem with the rear also, goes up halfway then reverses.
If I push the glass up while hitting the button it will go

I had the door panel off but couldn't see anything wrong and I don't recall any clips.

What clips are you talking about?
If I went to the stealer what would I call them.

Thanks

If I remember correctly those "clips" are only on the front windows (they are simply called window regulator clips). The back ones only have the motor and the Window regulator. So if you have any issues with the rear window = get a new regulator.

Cool A programming mistake

It's just a programming mistake in the chip which are held into the switches or might be called some circuit mistake. You might be owing some of the very few cars holding these mistakes. Have a check onto the Audi Service Point where you can get a good technician who knows about the mistake or tell the service provider to ask from Audi Headquarters about the problem...
