Question about bumper shocks

Arrow Question about bumper shocks

Does anyone know if the bumper shocks behind the front bumper can be pulled out after depressed or if they have to be completely replaced. Thanks in advance.

There is no doubt you can pull them back out, but they will not reabsorb impacts properly in the future. But, what are the chances you will need them to absorb an impact again?

They are cheap from a junk yard, I would just get a nice used set.

Well heres the situation. It looks like somone with a truck backed up and pushed my front bumper in an inch, the bumper is still in good shape but now the edges hang over the fenders. I was going to attempt to pull the bumper out without removing it from the car. If this doesnt work Ill grab the shocks from a junkyard and use that car as practice for removing my own bumper. Thanks for the info.
