Hi,

I have a 2000A6 2.8q. Recently I found out my remote key can't work and also I can't lock the car from inside using the lock button on the driver's side door. I guess the electronic module is broken or the wire conection is dead. Can anyone give me some advices to diagnose it or fix it.

As far as I know the car will not lock when the drivers side door is open. Your keyfob might need to be re-syched with the car. Look it up in your owners manual. If you don't have one search the threads on here.

 

Try replacing your fob battery then go out to the car put the key in the door unlock it with the key and then press then unlock button on the fob. See if that helps.
