Remote Starter or life of its own??
OK - so, this morning, I put the dog in the wagon and closed the door. My car started up! The keys were in my purse, so could I have activated a remote starter??
I've only had this car for about a month, so I'm not sure of all its gadgets .... and if this HAS a remote start, how do I activate it when I actually mean to?
Thanks!!

Hi Cartunes25,
Thank you for responding. The key is like this one: http://images-en.busytrade.com/13725...ponder-Key.jpg .... it does not have any logo on it other than Audi.
Does that help??
Thank you!!

I was not able to use the URL you have provided but it sounds like you just have the factory remote.
If you had an aftermarket remote start then it may be just an add on which could be activated by some sequence of button presses of the factory remote such as pressing the lock button two times.
If it is not this type then there will for sure be an antenna stuck to the front windshield. In both cases though there should be a sign of some wiring under the hood like a safety pin switch that will prevent the remote start form activating while the hood is open.
Unless you want to be removing the drivers side panel under the dashboard; it will be somewhat challenging to find out if you have an aftermarket remote start. Let me know what you find or if would like more info.

That remote is plain.
You might have activated the remote start by pressing lock release it, thin holding it down.
Just try playing with the remote!
(Be careful tho the remote's battery's will go dead quickly, or at least mine does. 2 month's.)
