It is located on the oil cooler, where the oil filter screws on to. The pressure switch is also there I believe and I dont remember which is which, but if you unplug on of them, rev the car up and get an oil pressure light then you know it was the other one.

What would I need to look for to find it? And how easy is it to get to the sensor??

Look for a single wire connected to the oil cooler (they are grounded through the metal casing).. Its easy enough to get at when you take the 4 screws off of the coolant tank and move it out of the way.

IIRC, on my A4 the oil pressure sensor is the one on the back of oil cooler while the one on the bottom of the pan is the oil temp sensor.

BTW there is only 3 screws that hold the coolant tank in place.
