tranny leak

tranny leak
Howdy y'all,
My Audi A6 2.8 with triptronic tranny has developed a leak.
The tranny is leaking up front near the flywheel, it only leak's when its not running. The tranny fluid does not smell burnt. When the engine is running there is a wearing noise me and the neighbor presume thats cos the belts or belt in the trans ain't getting the lube.. My neighbor also was questioning about the torque converter, IE if it went bad. Any help or advice would be welcomed thanks far in advance.
