Default tranny leak

Going down highway started smoking pulled over and seen what I thought was oil but after getting home found out It was tranny fluid (clear looking liquid). Jack up car and can't find where it is coming from, start car still nothing?? So figure I will go on the highway to see if I can get it to happen no luck (WTF).Searched for tranny leaks and came up with diff seal or something, does anybody have any experience with this.

Thanks

So, it is not leaking anymore? I can't believe ATF will be clear, even if you just changed it. Perhaps you caught something with your exhaust on the road? It does not seem right though, if it's liquid looking =0

This happened in my car about december and I was out x mas shopping and my started smoking, it then when to audi and has 4200.00 worth of transmission work done now its good as new.

Get you self a pair of ramps, look under the car and see for yourself what's going on. Responsible owner will diagnose better then any shop because 1) he knows the particular car 2) he is doing it for himself not fo somebody else whom he doesn't care about.

Pentosin fluid is light brown (when new) should be dark broun after you drive it a couple miles. All other ATF's I've seen are RED.

vw/audi fluid( 162) is clear golden new. look at the loction of the exhust pipes to the leak. if your motor oil is new it to may be clear. pipes slide down off back of motor. could be the vavle cover gasket( back side near fire wall). if you use ramps, as i did. i could not get it to leak. but soon as a leveled the car, it leaked.
