2001 Audi A8 Front Tire Wear
I put new michlien Primacy MXV4 tires on my 2001 Audi A8L about 11K miles ago. My car has 81k miles on it and I have noticed horrible inside and outside edge wear on the 2 front times. It is perfectly even. No wear at all on the rear tires. I have been running the tires at about 37PSI which is 7 Psi higher then recommended so you would think if anything the center of the tire would be wearing. The car track straight and the tire wear is even. Is the tire wear normal for this car or could it be something else? Doesn't seem like an alingment is needed?

I have a 2000 A8 with 182,000 miles. I bought it used. It has Goodyear Viva Touring tires. No funky wear issues as you describe. If it were bad alignment, you would think that the tire wear would be different. Bad camber: Wear on just one side. Bad toe-in or toe-out, cupping on one side. I see your original post was 6/16/12. Have you determined the cause of your problem?
