So....I've only had this car 2 weeks now and it seems like I keep finding issues every day. Today while driving in the rain, the windshield wipers decided to stop in the middle of the windshield. They've been working fine with no sign of a problem until they just stopped. I was able to pull over and push them back down, but now they don't turn on at all. I thought if I turn the car off and back on it might reset, but no luck. Has this happened to anyone? Could this be a sign of a bigger electrical issue?

 

Most likely the sign of a blown fuse...if you don't have the owners manual with the fuse guide, they should be listed in the cover of the fuse box in the passengers footwell. If not the fuse, the wiper relay would my next guess.

 

do a search, I remember reading about this a while back and there were a batch of bad wiper motors on the 04's.

 

So after pulling the fuse and putting it back in the wipers worked again....for a couple days. They then decided to stop working again in a downpoor on the freeway. I think you may be right about the motor. I did read that they had this problem in Germany, and Audi knows about it but wont recall or pay for replacement. I may take it back to the dealer I bought it at and say the car is unsafe and either replace the motor or take the car back.
