anyone knows price of new engine and transmission?
iv read on mobile.de that new engine for audi a8 4.2(D2,310 hp) is around 11000 euros (aprox.16000 dolars)
and that transmission is around 8000euros brand new! is it true? whats the cost for rebuilding an old transmission and engine?(iv just read on ebay that some workshop rebuilts it for a 2000 dolars,pretty cheap in compare to new one???)
also if anyone knows price for S8 engine and tranny (D2,360 hp)?

Your best bet is to get a used engine and tranny from www.shokan.com
The engine can be re-built, the transmission is beyond most technician's ability to re-build.

thnx for info..still dont have a car..im just curious to know all the prices of new original parts before i buy it..new is new someone said
