Default Headlight issue

I think I might have burnt out the control module on my drivers side when I wired in my DRLs. When I first turned the lights on, I think some of the wires were touching, and gave me a code(no cel) that said "control module locked up". I wonder if this is a protective measure. None of the wires are touching any more, so can I reset it or something with vag? I already cleared the code out of the ecu. But the low beam won't come back on. I switched out the driver side bulb with the passengers side, and no dice. It's def not the bulb. Also my blue high beam indicator is on constantly. I hear there is a company near me that sells rebuilt TT headlights. I might try to get them to rebuild my drivers side.
