Water leak into passenger floor

RE: Water leak into passenger floor
I called an Audi advocate today to find out if there was a way to prevent the backup/blockages from happening he suggested the I use womens stockings/nylons to cover each of the drainage ports. This would stop the leaves from getting in the tube and prevent blockages. I think it is a darling idea. Any thoughts? He called the local dealer to find out if that is considered altering the design and they said yes. So I said I will take the nylons off before I take the car to the dealer.

Apparently the mechanic altered my drainage ports. I will have th car tomorrow, but from what I understood, he cut the ends that have those paperthin slits- as he said, a spiderweb would clog them. As for the two drains in the center, he is opening them and feels that should solve the problem. I'll get the bill for the hot water circulator tomorrow. Anyone know what repalcing front brake pads and rotors should cost?

Have a similair problem with my A6. Except it wasnt a blocked drain, it was a mis-installed batter cover that was directing water into the AC intake. Clean that water up pronto, I am staring down massive electrical gremlins due to saturated control modules under the seat.....

RE: Water leak into passenger floor
Just spent $2,500 correcting my water problems. Audi does not stand behind a single thing. There are drainage 4 ports-- one at the rear of each front wheel(you can reach it without a lift or taking the wheel off) and two below the fresh air intake and above the tranny I believe. These are the problems and difficult to clear. they get clogged very easily and then the cowel beocmes a pool and all of your wires and in my case the hot water circulator($1,400) are ruined. You need to clear all of the drainage prots regularly.
