Default 23psi with only a chip and a home made MBC

Today I went out and made a home made D.I.Y MBC. It actually works very well. My car is now pushing 23psi. The car pulls stronger and you can feel the turbo spool up quicker! Lets just hope that my car doesn't BLOW UP!!!!!!

I bet it pulls harder, pushing 23psi. Good luck with that. I suggest running lower boost. 23 seems little to much.

Is the boost only an issue with the turbo and not the engine? I thought the 1.8T could handle all kinds of boost but it was the turbo that would crap out? Just need to keep an eye on the temp too with that much boost.

Higher boost = more air + more fuel = more hp = more heat. The downside of that is with the increased heat you get less actual hp due to the reduction in density. The K03 can handle 21 psi efficiently with a FMIC, the K04 can go up to around 24 psi. But the dual SMICs on the 225 won't do enough to remove the heat, you def will want a FMIC to get the full benefit of the added air.

Im pushing about 20 psi with my GT2X turbo and will probably up to about 23 psi. I replaced my single SMIC with the APR FMIC and it does great.

Isn't he going to need a 4bar fpr? Or does the 225 already have one?

The only car with a 4bar is the older b5 passat/a4 that had 200something cc injectors. Plus you shouldnt need a 4bar at any psi for a stock turbo unless you get water/meth which will increase density and running high psi.
