This is a typical 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear plot of requested boost (white line) and actual boost (red area), you can see here the requested boost and actual boost drops off for gear changes.

It would be interesting to see what the plot would look like if you didn't lift of the accelerator pedal.



I haven't seen the boost register while revving in neutral but then again I haven't really revved it hard for any more than a blip, don't want to disturb the neighbors.

Boost in 1-2 gears will be less than in 3-5/6 gears since again load. As for not lifting, the boost would still drop since the engine is still disengaged and the turbo will slow slightly (less exhaust gas) even though the dv/bov doesnt open (yes, if you shift without letting up the bov doesnt open).

No, its from the one and only liquidTT multi gauge, a little project I've been working on.

VagCom is not only handy for reading and clearing MIL codes, but it allows you to log just about everything going on with your engine. All of the sensor readings that get processed by the ECU can be logged, saved, and analyzed to help diagnose a wide range of problems from loss of power, misfires, sensor failures. That is a nice setup, similar to my Interceptor in my Prix, but this seems to be much better! Sounds like there is only one out there? Why?
