Constant Brake Grind
Two days ago I changed the drivers side lower ball joint on my TT project. After I and my help finished the (very easy I might add) project, we took it for a spin. As soon as I started rolling forward the brakes were making a scratching/grinding noise... At first I was quite sure that it was simply the rusty substance on the rotors being knocked off seeing as how it had been sitting for some time. After about 30 seconds though it didn't stop and I realized that it was only comeing from the driver's side front (where we had done the work)... After further inspection I'm a bit stumped...
It only scratches/grinds when rolling forward, not backward...
It looks like the pad may be slightly touching the inner ridge of the rotor now.
The rotor is firmly secured and everything looks to be in place.
