Educate me about turbos
A freind has a 2001 TT Quattro with a AWP engine.
The turbo started leaking oil.
A service shop said he needed a new turbo and he could supply one for $1300. plus labor.
I looked on ebay and found new ones for $280., $350. $690., and $400. to $1500 for rebuilt ones.
Anyone have any direct knowledge about this stuff?
