^ well... i'm still debating. whether to just get the muffler delete or save the $$ and get a whole turbo back. lol.

i know myxyzxo, achttung, thettkid all did muffler deletes. i think achttung's videos are on youtube.

spoonfeed:

also i did a resonator delete on my Neuspeed cat back. sounds better in person but definitely not as loud as a muffler delete.

yea, i actually just disconnected my exhaust right behind the cats tonight, before the resonator and started it up...it sounded pretty good but unfortunately there was no way for me to support the exhaust to leave it there like that and just take the rest of the exhaust (cat back) off so I just hooked it all back up. I liked the way it sounded but I think it would be pretty loud driving down the freeway at 85 or so considering I only listened to it at like 2500rpm and it was pretty loud. I think im just gonna be patient and get aftermarket... anyone have one for sale??? 2000 180fwd

Actually at higher speeds its not very noticeable.. At lower speeds it has a nice sound. Also keep in mind it will sound louder if the engine is cold..

^I guess I just dont want to be that annoying guy driving around like I hear all those damn civics with just a can on that sound horrible...its really not that bad then huh..interesting, I guess it cant hurt to try..thanxxx
** but is it going to effect performance? I dont want to loose anything bc of the lack of back pressure there w no resinator or muffler..

Yah you'll lose some power due to loss of back pressure. along with that I noticed loss of mpg aswell.

how can you lose back pressure when there is a turbo to put pressure on the motor. That would be a small drop in mpg it be like .5 a gallon

Maybe I am mistaken on the pressure part.. I just notice sometimes the exhaust sounds different. As for the the mpg, I use to get 430 miles on a tank of gas. That is regular driving, the max I've gotten was 445-450.. Now I am lucky to see 405.

well if your mpg dropped that much I really don't think the exhaust did it. You should check other things on the car. I am debating on removing my resonator maybe I won't now.

myxyzxo...how did you support the exhaust when you disconnected it? I was thinking just leave the clamp attached to the downpipe and adding a 6"-8" piece from an auto parts store to allow it to make it to the 1st exhaust bracket.
