Default flow capacity

I have a question that might sound stupid. If I go from a turbo with a flow capacity of a set point point and then upgrade to a turbo with a flow capacity of 60 hp more does that mean that I will get that 60 hp? Does anyone know what the flow capacity of a K03 sport is? I was told by AWE that myy TT has a K03 sport in it which is very close to a K04. Thanks.

Oh another stupid question, is it the compressor numbers that determine the lag of a turbo or the turbine numbers? Thanks again.

lag is the dlay between the instant a car's accelerator is depressed and the time the turbocharged engine develops a large fraction of the power available at that point in the engine's power curve. So most likly its the turbine numbers.

If I go from a turbo with a flow capacity of a set point point and then upgrade to a turbo with a flow capacity of 60 hp more does that mean that I will get that 60 hp?
Well yes and no....additional flow will require a larger capacity fuel delivery system and it will give you the hp but not to the ground :-)

K04 is different than a K03 sport its bigger

Thanks guys, Im learning alot. Im still looking to upgrade my turbo to get a few more HP but not get it too juiced up. Money too is a factor. Im just not sure if going to a K04 would give me more than 10-15 hp and worth the cost. Im pretty sure I will be getting a high flow manifold so that maybe in the near future I can bolt on a bigger turbo. Just dont want to get too big cuz the clutch and FMIC and all can get expensive. Thanks.
