There aren't enough problems nation wide for a recall on 1.8T TT's for headlamp issues.
3.2L TT's on the other hand does have a TSB for faulty headlamp ignitors which calls to replace the ignitor and bulb if necessary.

So we got the TT back yesterday.

They said it was a defective gas control module and so they replaced that and the 2 headlight bulbs. Total cost was over $1050 but we still have factory warranty so it was $0 cost to us! WooT!

everything works fine.... For now

Mine just went out! [:@]

I still have to check the bulb and find out if its that or the igniter.
Oh well used car you know?

2001 180 Roadster 65,000 miles in So Cal.

Right side went out two months ago. Local independent shop tells me it is the igniter. Also tells me I can probably find an igniter cheaper than his cost. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mick

No issues with OEM headlamps. Both are stock and still running strong.
