Default Losing boost in top gears??

Just had a curious question to see if I am the only one who this is happening to, but when I am at WOT I only seem to manage about 15psi but this is like during a race when I go thru the gears. When I go from a roll in 3rd gear or 4th I can hit 22psi just fine and hold about 20. Does this happen to everyone or is this a problem I should be looking into more. I cant seem to hold even 20psi thru all gears. Thanks guys.

Im not sure to what extent this applies, but the car isn't gonna boost the same all the time, it depends on torque/engine load. Temperature is a big player too, at least on a stock car. In cooler (denser) air, the car won't actually boost as much, and on a hot day, it'll boost more. Averages out to a set amount of power.

Example of the load situation - My 180 would spike at 18psi, but if i was on a slight hill, in 4th gear from a relatively slow speed, I could get it to climb to 21

yup happens to me too....used to freak me out a little then i thought about all the things that effect boost like air temp, sea level, barrmetric pressure etc etc
