ok, i was stuck in the middle of the highway as my clutch went bad. It was slipping, and i was going to fix it next week, but didn't know it will come to me this soon.

Well, I haven't got a quote from the dealer, but heard from my friend it was around 2000 for parts and labor. I DO NOT want to pay that much for a stock part again, so i need to know which aftermarket part is good.

Also, would I need to replace the pressure plate too?

Well $2000 seems very excessive. I had my clutch go out on the freeway too. I ended up paying about $1000 for my replacement with labor.
I would suggest going with spec clutches.

 

where can i get them? and also, I found a good deal on OEM clutches for 289. Do you think it would be a bad idea to stay stock?

 

I stayed stock when I replaced it. Only thing that sucked were the labor charges.
It all depends on your goals if your gonna start modding right away for real HP gains then upgrade if you take your time modding saveyourself somecash.
