I went to the local Autozone for those NGK BRK7E spark plugs... they didn't know what i was talking about. They only had teh NGK BRK6E which are OEM gapped to .032. So i don't know how to get plugs that are gapped to .028. Why do we want them gapped at .028 instead of .032 anyways? advantages? Someone please shed some light.
I got the same Plugs and they are gapped closer to about .036 so you definitely have to gap them to either .032 (if you are unchipped) or .028 (if you are chipped/Revo Tuned). Also you should not be running these plugs if you aren't chipped. This is one heat range lower than stock and should only be run if you do have a chip or tune.
They will still work if you are not but may foul very quickly. Also if you are not chipped/tuned DO NOT gap your plugs at .028. It is only necessary if youi are chipped
to prevent preignition or detonation. Gapping is easy. Just Slowly push down on the electrode on a hard surface until the gap narrows then use a gap gauge to widen gap
until the desired gap is reached. Or use the gapping tool to bend the electrode downward and then widen with a suitable gap gauge.
Or get some Bosch F5DPOR side firing spark plugs. They do not need to be gapped but are very expensive. Expect to pay between 12-19 bucks a piece for them and they are really hard to find. I would just stick with the stock plugs or the ones that you bought if you are chipped.

Tom, thank you. So what you're saying is that I have to gap them myself to a smaller .028 if I have a diode/chip? Can you just use a feeler gauge to gap it to .028 or should i buy some special spark plug gapper?

feeler gauges are best, gap coin is second best.

A feeler gauge is fine. It wont make the gap smaller but it will give you the most accurate measurement for gapping to the right size. Most wire type gapping tools also have a small hook or claw on one end that can be used to bend the electrode to make it smaller, then use the feeler gauge to widen the gap to the proper size. You don't want to go any smaller than .028 or you will loose performance.
