Default Suspension Problem, Need Help ASAP

We are having trouble getting the front drivers side strut out of the mount, the control arm doesn't drop down far enough to pull the strut clear of the mount. Everything is loose, tried compressing the spring but no go- Any suggestions? We need about a half inch more room to get it up and out- really frustrating!

The Bentley manual says to unbolt the driveshaft from the transmission flange. Hopefully that will give the room necessary to remove the strut.

Thanks Collin for the help today. We couldn't get the last corner (passenger side.) The spring compressors I have are just a little to bulky to get up in the strut tower the right way to be 100% effective.

I know I can get around this with unbolting the axle from the tranny. Is this something someone of my skill level can do? Is it as simple as undoing the 6 or 8 bolts I see at the tranny/axle union and then bolting back up when done?

Any advice is appreciated.

Ray if you want to bring some of your tools down tomorrow or Monday and finish up that would be great.

you could unbolt the axel from the front by the rotor and just get a pry bar and pry on the arm
