I will agree, its alot louder and the power dosent die off in the upper rmps. I can now hold boost better and longer, last night I raced a modded STI to about 75 in town...DUMB I KNOW...but the front end of the TT was at his back door. I was pretty happy and it was a good roll. I like it personally now I dont have to go out and get a 004, cause my DV sounds alot louder!

im not making an arguement, im stating facts.

ask 225TT, clipse, or nuer0tic (well, if he turns off the w/m) how it is and im sure they are happier with it off, and not just for the noise.

You cant tell me you dont notice that everyone follows, Audi should change it from "Never Follow" to "Follow any other Audi owner because its been done, regaurdless if it performs"
stating facts is part of an argument, is it not? and yes i know not just for the noise

you keep telling me stuff i already know!

where are we going with this? nowhere lol, i'm cool if you are? just tryin to be friendly here

so water meth is not worth it? I was planning on doing it without any tuning, but I'll pass if there are no notable gains... I'm just running out of mods to do that are sub 3 grand. lol

pulled the cover off my VTDA and going to run it like that a few days. first impressions are its LOUD.. and I lost that low rumble that I liked before. however 5000prms and even 5700-6500 feel better.

dont know if I can put up with the sound though. its extremely loud in a roadster w/ top down.

I'm guessing that I'm probably going to put the cover back on in a few days. I dont like the look of the filter, I prefer a cleaner looking engine bay.

I'm sorry, but I love my VTDA... I had a open p-flow style filter before and it was just plain annoying with all that whistle and sucking sound going on. the low rumble is wonderful though, I also modified my stock smic ducting so that it would send all the air from the D side lower grille up under the headlight and into the fender area so that the intake will have plenty of air to pull... and who cares about making the DV louder, just get a splitter and relocate it on the cold side of the intake... its the cleanest sound you will ever get.

The only way your gonna see gains w/o doing any tuning yourself is by running a 100octane file and with a closer to or 50/50 meth injection

Why am i not surprised everyone sawa gain in performance with the box of?

Would the w/m be worth it if you didnt do any timing but used a boost controller to up the boost without really causing much more heat since the kit will keep the temps down?
