Water/Meth vs. NOS
I know this subject has been tackled before, but I can't find it...and for that matter, I still don't have a good grasp on what water/meth injection does and what it's for. Is it just for engine temp, for efficiency, or for hp and tq gains? Would somebody give a brief explanation?
Nitrous adds more o2 in the engine along with fuel for power
W/M lowers intake temps and increases octane rating. These lets you increase timing and/or boost depending on what turbo your using. If you are on a stock or other small turbo, your going to make more power with timing and with a larger turbo, your going to be able to run another 3-8psi more and still increase timing a few extra degrees to add power.
w/m also steam cleans the cylinders also.

Say I'm on a stock turbo, though with other upgrades..Dhalback chipped, forge FMIC, APR intake manifold w/ throttle body...what kind of added power is w/m going to produce, and what needs to work in conjunction with w/m to peak it's effectiveness? Cincy, also, you have an N75 valve, don't you..KMD tuning says it adds 10hp..sounds too easy for 90 bucks..is that accurate?
The APR manifold wont do crap for you until you have a gt2871r or larger turbo, same goes for the TB.
To run w/m, your going to need a kit, perferably a stage 2 kit from snow performance or devils own, and a vagcable to tune it. You can read up on nuer0tics thread(s) to get more info. He was having problems with a boost leak so no matter what he did, he gained nothing. Then after that, i found out he is injecting much less than he should, so he still cant advance as much timing as he should be. Once he gets his larger nozzles and gets the dual setup in, he will have a good gain in performance. But going to usrallyteam and doing the calc will tell you exactly what you need to run.
After install, you need to run a 50/50 mix of meth (heet from a parts store is 99%meth) and distilled water. The water cools the temp and the meth increases the octane. You then can monitor both timing and timing pull and increase it until the car starts to pull timing and then lower it back down to where is doesnt pull and your set. You can also jsut get a 100octane program and run that with w/m inj also.
I do have a n75, i just dont run it in the loop. It just sits in my intake and still plugged in and my mbc controls all the boost. KMD might mean running a differnt version of the n75, but i rather have complete control of boost and spool faster and hold boost longer. So spend the extra $10-20 and get a turboXS HPBC.

Just depends on the turbo. W/o over exerting the turbo, you should be able to get ~20-25whp out of it on a stock turbo. I have seen people with gt28rs make another 40whp (310whp => 350whp) and with a gt2871r about 50whp (325whp => 375whp). But those turbos can run more psi on higher octane gas and still run more timing. This is why they make so much more power than a stock turbo. Your already at the limits of the turbo on pump gas and timing is your main power adder, well that and cool *** iat's.
Right..I don't want to overexert the KO4..that shouldn't happen as long as the everything is running as cool and breathable as possible, I suppose...and I'd be happy with 20-25 fromwith the w/m kit...one last thing here--are you saying that an upgraded intake won't do sh%^--not even for 5 or 10 hp? Or for breathability's sake..if not, it's definitely not worth the money...
Your not really going to gain much with an intake. A 1-2hp is about it and a little throttle response. The turbo already sucks in enough air by itself and temps arent all that important.
