01 A4 over heating.

Default 01 A4 over heating.

hey i have a prb wit my 2001 audi a4
it hass 93000 miles on it
and had oil change done about 100 miles prior to having this issue..
the temp gauge goes to hot in the matter of driving for about 5 min.
i tried 2 replace the coolant recovery tank and no luck.
i replaced the hose and no luck.
any info is truly appreciated.
i am thinking it canbe the thermostat but i wanted to see if any1 else had the same prb.

could be a stuck thermostat, coolant temp sensor, or water pump. CEL? are any of the three parts i mentioned original?

After each of those parts was replaced, did you burp the air out of the system?

Hmmm. With 90k+ miles you should think about replacing all that stuff anyway, along with your timing belt. This kit from Blauparts is your best bang-for-buck. That'll take care of your timing belt, tensioner, pulleys, thermostat, crank/cam seals, water pump, belts, etc. Make sure you get the right one though, they're different for 2001/2001.5
