hello there,

im new on the forum and i have a A3 but my friends needs some urgent help.

My mate has a 1.9tdi 110bhp M reg and is having a problem with the throttle and needs to know what could be the problem because he's hoping to get it passed it mot this week. He has had the gearbox reconditioned and was wondering if that could be anything to do with it?

Problem is
When being driven the it will only sometimes rev when pedal is pressed but sometimes you can have your foot flat down and it wont rev when you want it to. Then it picks up randomly while foot is flat down.

My mate is mechanic but is only really used to working on older engines and doesn't know much about these Audi's.

Any help would be fantastic seeing as he needs it on the road within this week.
