Good news. My dad said I can get a 1.8t, but he is worried that there will be more problems with the car since there is a turbo. Im going to look at one on tuesday hopefully. Has anyone had any problems with the 1.8t?

Most of the owners on here are 1.8T owners. They're pretty reliable engines as long as you do the maintenance on them. Don't let the fact that there's a turbo scare you.

Make sure it's been taken care of before you and it will treat you well. The only issue that the turbo car can have that the v6 wont is the v6 doesn't have a turbo to fail. You can get a used turbo with low miles for less than $200, so that's no biggie.

I had the oil cooler fail at 140k, the wastegate blew out of the turbo at 145k, and the head gasket failed at 150k. It's now fully rebuilt with 156k on it and running strong.
