99 A4 1.8TQ Bone Stock Going APR Stage 3+
np guys.
i have some shitty pics, but that seems like such bad taste...i'll try to get some decent ones today.
yeah, as for the driving, it's night and day difference. response, accel, sound, etc. biggest thing to get used to is the boost. if you aren't careful, you wind up with that "lurch" when you come off the pedal. reminds me of other turbo cars gone by. what's really quite nice though is ability to pull in 4th and also 5th on the hwy with no issue. need to pass? no prob. shoot a gap? not an issue. its no 500hp beast of course, but theres plenty of power to give, even at relatively low rpm and at hwy speed. not to mention the very responsive 2nd/3rd/4th. 100mph very easily on a hwy on ramp.
oh, and the apr exhaust is exactly what i was going for. throaty, but not excessive. all in all, still pleased with it (at this early date). more power is, of course, always nice. but i have avoided anything related to engine internals, and i can run my valeo clutch out. there's always headroom anyway, just another turbo, some piping, and a new tune (would have to toss that apr ecu i assume)
p.s. hey devil, for the love of god i need some interior work done. please let me know if you ever come down to DC metro area! will make it worth your while...
