I love how nice a job you are doing on this - really looking forward to seeing it finalized and we can see how the new front blends with the rest of the body's lines. Props for being ballsy and jumping into this

ok it's official, as soon as i'm finished up with the front end i'm going widebody: rolling my fenders, shaving the side moldings, and searching for some rs4 sideskirts....(help! i can't find them).

BTW:
FOR ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT APPROVE OF THE WAY I SPEND MY FREE TIME: Trust me when i say i LOVE the stock b5 a4 & s4 front bumpers. And yes, something is NOT right....there's a big *** grill on my car, lol. The only reason i'm playing with this conversion is simply to do something different. No offense to those who bolt on a rs4 bumper (i love that look), but it seems like everyone has it and i want something that the average joe might not want to get into. I never said this would be the best looking B5 around, just something that might make you take a second glance. It's looking pretty shaky right now, but this is all prep-work and there will be a lot more going into the project to try and save it from looking like a rice rocket.

You don't have to defend yourself to anyone on this. It's your car and everyone is free to love it or hate it, but it's yours alone and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. And remember, the rest of us don't have the skills to do this at home so people can hate on it if they want but I don't see anyone else jumping out and building a better custom front end, so don't sweat it.

Don't worry bout them, there are some people here to hate everyone and everything if it's not their car... It's different, IF I had the $$$ I wouldn't mind an *&^#()!*#& front (I'm not saying it cuz I don't wanna get hated on!) RS4 skirts are more than likely going to be an import from Europe!

overpriced, but you could probably use most of the parts and sell the front bumper to recoup some of the cost?

I think i will be pulling out my fenders here in the near future and removing all side moldings. hopefully it will tie in nicely with the new front end. and don't worry, wheels and suspension are in the works, not to mention a large front mount. Thanks for the support!
