I have a 2000 A4 Quattro. Recently the battery went completely dead. I took it to a shop and had the battery replaced. Now, the alarm won't activate/deactivate and doors won't lock/unlock using the remote control. I have to unlock the doors with the key and the alarm sets when I lock the doors using the key. I've tried both remotes and changed the batteries in one of them, but still no go. Is there something I have to reset?

from what i know, on the b7 anyway there is a series of locking and unlocking the doors manually and through the keyfab that has to be done to reset the alarm and keyfab. unfortunately i do not know what this sequence is and i just changed my battery so need to do this also, so if anyone knows how to do this it would sure help right now.
