Yessir. There's another connecting rod right next to the loose one. That's what I don't understand, there's no loss of ANY functionality whatsoever.

I thought for sure it was #5 in that diagram. I need to open up my front pass side door today and look at my rattling speaker. If I get the energy to do that, I'll take a picture of that lock mechanism for you.

I had the door open too, I saw that rod coming from the locking mechanism. I actually just zip tied it until I could get a definitive answer as to where it goes! There just isn't a lot of room up there to look around.

Thought I was doing you a big favor. When I took off the Pass side door panel, I stripped out all the plastic, then pulled the whole regulator assembly to get this pic.

But then I thought about how my 99.5 doesn't have a lock cylinder on the Pass side and found this in Bentley. There is an extra rod going to the lock cylinder that's on the driver's side door. Do the power locks work when you turn your key?

Hahaha. Well thank you anyway! I never thought about looking at the manual, I need to start... But yeah, they all work when I use the door.

Yesterday was a fantastic day. I discovered that my problem wasn't with my wiring, I just coincidentally was given two bad clusters! I plugged the new one in and the LCD works like a charm! MPG, temp, radio, all that good stuff. But no tach... I ran output tests in VCDS, the needle will move, but it says that it's not reading any RPMs. Weird right? All the pins in the back all look fine. And it's throwing the oil pressure symbol (the big red one that drips). Oh, and clearing the light warnings, what wires do I twist together to clear them?

Haha. I'm either going to stick with red, or try to pull of the blue/red color scheme in the older Jettas/Passats. I like that.

My apologies for mot being on in a while, I've been really busy! Anyway, I'm looking for nice speaker replacements. I've been looking at the JBL sets, and am really impressed. I know the tweeters are 1", the front doors are 4.5", and the rear deck and rear doors are 6.5". What do you all think?
