Whatever you do, please have the refridgerant evacuated out by a shop. Do not release it into the atmosphere.

I'm bumping for info, I just can't seem to track down all the lines! Tweaked how bad is that stuff? I leaked all mine to the atmosphere, but that was thanks to a hole in the line >.<

The R134a that our cars use isn't as bad as the R12 that cars used before 1993, but it's still not good. I agree - have it evacuated properly. There are guys who will come to you and do it at no charge (guys that do refrigeration repairs often collect it to use on the job). Don't worry about tracking all the lines down to remove them - just pull the compressor, condenser, dryer, and associated lines/pipes. Make sure to plug any lines you don't remove, to avoid accumulating crap in them though.

There's nothing you can do about an accidental leak, it happens. Just ask BP.

Sorry. Too soon...?

It hasn't been recharged in years so im good there. Do I have to reset my ECU, when i remove it or it doesn't have anything to do with it?

No. It will only affect the HVAC and you will no longer be able to clear foggy windows.
