B5 brake upgrade to b6/b7
My audi's rear calipers are about dead and from what I can tell are the originals on my car with 140k. The left rear is bad enough that it is dragging and producing a nice burnt pad smell. There are a set of calipers (front and rear) on ebay for a 02-06 Audi A4 3.0L. The front calipers look the same as mine now, but the rears are different. Could I run the rear calipers on my 98 2.8 Q as-is or would I have to find some kind of different bracket to mount them? Do the 02-06 audi's have larger rear disks, and if so could i run a larger setup or would I have to stick to stock? Lastly will the new fronts interchange with the 98's in case I would need them in the future?

Neither the fronts or the rears will fit on your B5 as they are different. The front of a B6 is the same as a B5 S4 which will not fit with out having to change out the spindle, (I know because I tried)
The rears can be made to fit but you will either have to do as I did and have some custom spacers made, or you can buy it from 034 Motorsports.
Your best bet for brakes would be to do some SS lines and upgraded pads. You can purchase cross drilled and slotted rotors or just stick with the regular ones and you will be fine. You can also upgrade to a DOT 4 brake fluid since you will be changing out the lines anyways and you would not believe the difference in braking this will make. It will be a night and day difference.

The color of the car is Melange which could best be described as a champaign color. A friend of mine who did the sig for me tweaked and filtered the color a little ....
.... but it does change a lot according to the sunlight. Here is a normal picture of the car:
