You're talking slider bolts that secure caliper to carrier right? Nope, no need really. We usually recondition them each brake job. Take them and clean them really well using a wire wheel on a drill until they shine. Put a round wire brush on the drill and ream out the slots they mount into. Then grease the bejeezus out of them and they'll be perfect.

Don't forget to paint those carriers either!

That answers the question exactly, thanks Jeremy! And I won't forget to paint the calipers lol

I'll be sure to take lots of pics before, during, and after the install and ***** them all over this thread for good measure

Yeah plan A was to do it yesterday but I had a triathlon in the morning and was too gassed afterwards to do anything productive. This weekend for sure!

That's completely understandable. I decided to do mine on Friday night. I am such a shmuck lol. To Friends: "No I can't go out tonight cuz I'm doing my brakes." "But it's 12am!"

I know right!? If you paint you calipers, let me know how it goes, as I was thinking of doing that soon too...

I did the back brakes a few weeks ago and painted the calipers with high-temp engine enamel. Looks good, dries fast, has held up well so far to driving and stuff.
