The intake hose on my throttle body blew off the throttle body 2 days ago... I bought a new hose clamp and tightened the **** out of it...Now, today my cat blew right off of the turbo! Is there a common spot on the exhaust that all of a sudden blocks up causing this?

 

Did you blow off the cat or did the flange weld break? Because it is common for the flange on the cat that bolts to the back of the turbo to break, the car is 12+ years old.

 

Yeh the weld broke.. The cat and turbo were replaced not long ago...There has to be an obstruction for both things to blow off in a couple days

 

I dont see how a restriction in the exhaust is going to cause the TB hose to pop off, that came off because the boost was higher then the clamp could hold and if you had a exhaust restriction you wouldn't be making all that much boost seeing that the turbo wouldn't be spooling like it should. The weld most likely broke because it was moving around while it was hot.
