The Zexel a/c compressor of my 96 2.8 12V it's totally damaged and needs to be replaced, I just bought a used Zexel a/c compressor that came from an 1.8 engine, the body of the compressor is identical to the other but this one does not have the speed sensor.

Can I install this compressor without the speed sensor and will work fine or there is no way?

The part number of the original compressor is 8D0 260 805 A (with speed sensor) and the other is**8D0 260 805 D (without speed sensor), both are Zexel.
