well see this is where i stand i just got my Audi A4 1.8T its a 97 so yes really slow, ok now the reason i want to chip K04 it's because my dad is going to give me his k04 and koni shocks so its a free k04 so snap why not!.

Now then, yes you guys are right i agree big turbo is always better i was looking at unitronic 415cc BT for that but you know one thing at a time lol let me start small am new to audi cant bite on more than i can chew so fast. does this make sense?

Then put the K04 in the car, and leave the ECU stock. A K04 is transparent on a stock tune. Collect the rest of the mods necessary for running the PC16 file, then send the ECU out for the tune while you put in the other mods. That way you only pay for one flash. Additionally, it gives you time to get to know the car and its particular quirks, and fix any issues, before you exacerbate them by increasing power.

^free KO4... very nice. Replace the coolant and oil lines while you're at it. Check for boost leaks (search for it) before you crank up the boost. Make sure all your maintenance is up to date, like timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc, etc, ad nauseum.
