Clutch Fan Delete
My clutch fan pully started chirping and squeeking earlier this week so instead of replacing it I decided to delete it like others have done on here. While looking for info on here about it I couldnt find much, I realized its really easy to do so im sharing what I did.
I went for the easiest approch and just left the fan pully and clutch installed. Instead of having the serp.belt come around the left of the fan pully, I just routed it strait from the power steering pump (I think) right to the alternator.
To do this you will need a smaller belt since youre eliminating a couple inches of where the belt has to travel. The belt I used is Autozone part number 470K5. Its a 5 rib belt like the original but its 1195mm long or 47 inches it fits like the oem belt and when the tentioner is tight, it feels perfect. Its that easy. Hopfully my temps will stay the same, If not ill install an electric slim fan.

well ive still got everything there like I said, and the stock belt so if I need to go back I can. Ill let you know if It runs any hotter. So far so good. Theres a few autocross guys who have done this without any problems. I just wanted to share the part number so people dont have to go around chasing down the right belt if they choose to do it.
