codes
after i changed the water pump, timing belt, and serpentine belt in my 99 a4 2.8 the check engine light come on
i got it scaned and this is what i got:
P1196 MANUFACTURER CONTROL FUEL AIR METERING.
P1426 MANUFACTURER CONTROL AUXILIARY EMISSION CONTROL.

after i got it scanned the check engine light was off and it still is after about a week, is there anything i need to worry about?

By this, do you mean you cleared the codes and they haven't returned? If so, then I wouldn't sweat it. If I ever scan and find any codes, I record what they are and then clear them. Any that come back, I will deal with. A lot of the time, those codes that show up and don't reappear are just transient, intermittent faults, or ghosts that aren't real codes. If you delete them and they come back, then you need to troubleshoot.
You can get it scanned at AutoZone and see if any latent codes are still present. Or go to www.ross-tech.com and download the USB 409 version of VagCom onto your laptop, order a $20 USB-to-OBD2 cable, and be able to do all of it at home. If you don't have any, you're good to go.
