I have been having the usual symptoms, One minute it's running fine... then the next, it stalls and is hard to start and then when it finally does start the EPC light is on and it runs poorly. After a short while of sitting (after it has cooled down) it starts and runs properly.... until the next time!

I pulled codes, P0321 and P0322 as well as P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 & P 0304. The last few codes are not surprising considering the way it ran with the EPC light illuminated.

Everything that I researched led me to the ENGINE SPEED SENSOR. So I went to my local Audi dealer and $94.00 later I left with a new sensor.

When I got home, I pulled the coolant reservoir loose to locate the sensor. I found the connector on the firewall and followed it down. As I snaked my arm down along the wire, I touched the connector... It came apart...Hmm loose connector. I inspected the pins and then clicked it back together.

Its been running great since then. Lesson learned - Check the simple stuff, first!

 

Take the part back and get a refund,tell them it was the wrong part.

I have the same thing going on with my 2002 A4 3.0. Was your problem on a 3.0 liter engine as well?

 

My issue occurred on a 01, 1.8T, but it can happen similarly on other engines and models

I bought '06 A3 1.6 and I love my car. it has been only 3 weeks. I have EPC and ASR light on together . No matter how much I push the throttle, the car accelerate like a truck. When I turn the engine off and start it, it seems to be working fine. When I brought it to an Audi dealer(by the way in Russia), they couldn't figure out what the problem is, so they asked $1,000 for an additional diagnostic. They must be crazy to ask this price.

After a week without any problem, today it happened at least 5 times. First time, my RPM was moving up and down between 600-1300 while I was stopping. I turned off the engine and started again. After 5 minutes, second time it happened. But the second time, RPM was stable around 650rpm. But this time, after I started the engine, it turned off by itself in a second. I waited about 10 minutes.The engine started.
After school, on my way to home no problem happened. But two hour later, I was going out for a restaurant, it happened again. I have been told these reasons: Gas pump, brake switch sensor or speed sensor.

I don't speak Russian and I don't know what to do, where to bring the car now. I am desperate now. So if you know what might be causing it, please tell me
