Fermilier with coolent leaks on 2001 s4's?

Sorry, I am certainly not a scholar but Jeez! This is what happens when wireless companies offer text messaging-the end of the English language as we know it.

Do not listen to Jesse(in this instance)-white smoke is NOT oil. It is most likely coolant. I would check the head gasket. Look around the engine where the head mates to the block for signs of weeping. This would be easier to detect if you cleaned the engine compartment of all dirt, grease, etc.

I would also consider going to a different mechanic...

2.7's have a tendency to need new gaskets, and with over a 100k you should expect it. A lotta guys to OEM replacements or put in a new phenolic spacer gasket. Search bud.

Ouch, you got my ***... but at least for my sake I can spell :-) I always get those two backwards! But yeah I agree with euro, start with the gaskets.
