Fmic for stock ko3? (Eventually frankenturbo)
It's pretty much inherent in the design of the engine. A pretty extreme example of turbo lag. Your motor doesn't make any HP until the turbo spins up, but the turbo takes a while to spin up because it's driven by exhaust gasses which are being limited by the low RPM's. It's a sick circle of suck. (pun intended)
Not saying there's a huge amount of lag in a K03, because there isn't. At the right RPM in the right gear, there's almost no lag on a K03. But you see where I'm going with this whole rant.

I remember getting that bucking with the stock K03! I always thought it was due to the K03 "running out of breath" or timing pull due to heat soak, or something like that.
In any case, the only bucking I get is ~1800-2200 RPM, worse when the engine is cold, and I have a few theories as to what's causing it (AFR gauge shows the engine goes lean in this range, under certain loads). But I think this bucking may just be affecting my engine, and is not necessarily related to FrankenTurbo or United Motorsport, or the combination of the two.
Like I mentioned above, my car has a weird issue with bucking, and I think my car's excessive emissions may be related to it. Even with the 034 Motorsport HFC I still get plenty of black soot on my exhaust tips, my exhaust smells pretty strongly with the windows down, and I definitely didn't pass the smog test.
Also, for our visual test we can't have ANYTHING related to emissions/intake modified without a CARB exemption sticker for the particular part. So even having a fuel pressure gauge installed (on a bone-stock engine) I would fail.

God I can't wait to get a frankenturbo, I can't even imagine how much more in love I will be with my car after I drop one in
And as far as the already winning to a mustang, that statement is so true. He had an 01 a4 1.8t that had the weird sunroof problem so he sold it instead of getting a little bit of guys and fixing it himself (sold it because of only the sunroof)....traitors

Is the united motorsports stage 3 for the aeb the best for the ft? I would assume it is, so it looks like new injectors is also on the master plan. Do aeb have a 70mm maf housing or should I pick one of those up too
Or I could go to my somewhat local ngp racing shop and have a custom dyno tune if that would work better
I'm gunna order a fmic and 630ccs (if that's what I need) this week, and get a test pipe put on. Then when I get the money, chip and ft
