Thanks man. Yeah thats the part I'm still not happy about. I want to thin out those top and bottom slats without cutting all the way through them, so they lay flat against the top and bottom of the gauge. Just gonna take a little time is all. I'll try to get a shot of it in the dark tonight.

no don't thing out those slats. cut a notch in the gauge so that the slats will hold the gauge

Just made an appointment with an indie Audi/VW shop near my place called Volkswerks. They're gonna do a full coolant flush with G12 and replace the expansion tank for just over $100. Definitely worth it, IMO.

I have the same gauge, and it buzzed like a **** until I got a no-buzz tee. Looks good but I'm sure you'll make it look gooder with those top and bottom slats. Yu makes a good suggestion about making it fit right.

What's "no buzz" about a "no buzz" T fitting? I wonder if I have one lol. I agree with you and Yu, I'm gonna try filing a coupla flat spots on the gauge housing and see if it fits better. Thanks for the tip!

The T just has a restricted (like a pin hole) port on the side going to your boost gauge. It reduces turbulance through the lines to shut the gauge up. If I remember right, my guage was silent at first and got louder and louder.

Thanks Chris. Much appreciated!

You're moving fast with this car. When is it getting low?

No worries man just lemme know. That fist pump gif makes the double post so much better

As for moar low, I'm thinking spring. I'm probably just going to throw some race springs on it and call it done. Next on my list after the coolant flush this Friday and short shifter (which should be arriving sometime in the next day or two) are vac lines. They don't look terrible, but when I was messin around with the dip stick the other day I squeezed a coupla the vac lines and they feel pretty brittle. Cheap and easy insurance against boost/vac leaks to just change them all before it becomes an issue.

Then over the winter I'm gonna pick up a set of roof bars and a new bike rack. Incidentally, I discovered that the OEM Avant roof bars available from ECS ($265) are considerably more expensive than from the dealer ($170), believe it or not. Also on the list, I'd like to replace all the crimp-style hose clamps with worm gear or T-clamps, depending on the location. Also I've been looking at silicone turbo/intake hoses, but thats mostly just because I think they look cool
