Default Intake (?) Clicking / high idle?

Hi, so... I was driving today and while sitting at a light I noticed the car was idling high, about ~1400rpm. When I pulled over and popped the hood I tried popping the cover on the left side off and the idle went to normal but then I heard a clicking... Video attached... Any ideas??

I cant pin point the noise but it sure sounds like the evap solenoid to me. you could try unplugging it for a couple seconds. if the noise goes away, then it wasn't a big deal. you might get a CEL though

can also be one of the lifters is too high on the pass side on the engine. i had an a6 2002 3.0 and that was the same noise it makes.

I hear two clicking noises in your video. A first one, then the second one starts. The first one sounds like a lifter, or cam chain loose, the 2nd one sounds like the evap solenoid......

Oh! Sorry, my finger was covering the mic at first, the "second" one you heard is what it sounded like when i moved it out of the way.
