Yeah I took the cap off. So you're saying just spinning it is enough? I dont have to to press while spinning?

it's fine drive it as is. To quote a race instructor I once had...

If you driving your own car you want good brakes. If it's your DD people are going to hate you. If you brakes don't sound like you are fist raping a cat at every stop light they arn't doing their job. Grandma in her '92 lincoln continental should yell at you telling you to get your breaks fixed cuz the soundd is making her hearing aid go on the fritz

lol ohhh Don....

OP, one thing i WOULD do is take a file to those sharp *** burrs on the piston before you tear a hole in the piston boot. Just keep turning that sumbitch till you can't turn it anymore

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, good to know about the turning, im going to rent the piston tool lol.

I had one last question. In this picture:

Is that bolt supposed to be able to move? It's the one the calliper bolt goes into. It seems seized in place, is it supposed to move in any direction?

any way you could take a wider picture? i think thats the carrier bolt, which isn't supposed to move unless you want to take the carrier off, but i can't really tell

EDIT: I just stared at that pic some more, i think thats the caliper slide, it should be two different sized nuts with a little rubber boot doohicky on them and yes, it should slide

It's the bolt on the carrier that the calliper screws into. There is another carrier bolt int he back to take off the carrier (8mm hex) but it's not that one.

Exactly, rubber doohicky on there. As seen in this pic at the top. Mine don't move, should I see to it that they do?

Yes, they should move, especially with the caliper removed. When's the last time the brakes on this car were changed?
